East Yunnan
East Yunnan mainly refers to Qujing, which is at the source of Pearl River-the largest river in South China and at the interjection of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi. Qujing enjoys the reputation of “the first city of the source of the Pearl River”. It is known as the “Throat of Yunnan”. It is 120 kilometers away from Kunming, the provincial capital. The area of Qujing is 28,900 square kilometers, accounting for 13.63% of the area of Yunnan Province.
