Jinning District, which belongs to Kunming City, Yunnan Province, is located in the central part of Yunnan Province, southwest of Kunming City, encircling Dianchi Lake, west mountainous area, north of Chenggong District, south and east of Hongta District of Yuxi City, bordering Jiangchuan District, 44.2 kilometers away from the People’s Government of Kunming City. Jinning District is an important part of the urban core area in Kunming.
