Located in the dam area, it sits southeast of Menghan Town (勐罕镇), 0.3 km from Manting Village Committee (曼听村委会) and 2.5 km from the town government. It borders Manda Village (曼搭村) to the east, the Lancang River (澜沧江) to the south, the Ganlanba Farm Headquarters (橄榄坝农场场部) to the west, and the First Branch of Ganlanba Farm (橄榄坝农场一分场) to the north.

Cultural History

Manting Village (曼听村) is one of the birthplaces of the Mengbalanaxi Kingdom (勐巴拉纳西王国) culture, gathering the essence of Dai history, humanities and culture of Menghan Town (勐罕镇). The village preserves 1,300-year-old Dai cultural heritage including Manchunman Buddhist Temple (曼春满缅寺), pagodas and traditional stilt-style bamboo houses. Manting Village (曼听村) was honored as one of China’s Beautiful Leisure Villages in 2020.
