Job Offer and Employment-Marketing Manager
Yunnan Exploration Travel is a Kunming based tour operator specialized on tailor-made tours for groups and individuals in Yunnan and China. We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager, responsible for the successful management of our Marketing Department. Ultimately, you will help us build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.
Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Budget-management skills and proficiency
- Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company and drive qualified traffic to our front door
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
- Create the monthly newsletter
- Run email marketing campaigns
- Social medias management
- Research and develop new sales channels
- Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications
- Partner with creative teams, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors
- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
Applicant’s Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Fluent as well as strong oral and written communication skills in our daily business language English (if possible native speaker level)
- At least good basic communication skills in Chinese; further languages – especially European – are a plus
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Capable of handling difficult business situations, able to work under pressure and willing to go the ‘extra mile’ especially during peak travel seasons
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
