Job Offer and Employment-Project Manager

Yunnan Exploration Travel is a Kunming based tour operator specialized on tailor-made tours for groups and individuals in Yunnan and China. We are currently looking for a Project Manager, responsible for the successful execution of projects.

As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Ensure that the operation of the company meets the expectations of its clients
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Report directly to the General Manager
  • Deliver operational advice to management and investors
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

Applicant’s Requirements:

  • Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Fluent as well as strong oral and written communication skills in our daily business language English (if possible native speaker level)
  • At least good basic communication skills in Chinese; further languages – especially European – are a plus
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good MS Excel skills, further IT knowledge like website maintenance and general computer troubleshooting is a plus
  • Prior work experience in tourism industry is a plus; knowledgeable of travel destinations in Yunnan and China
