By the end of 2012, the population of ethnic minorities in Nanhua County was 102,912, accounting for 42.9% of the total population, of which 90,721 were Yi, accounting for 37.8% of the total population; 9,215 were Bai, accounting for 3.8% of the total population; and 2,093 were Hui, accounting for 0.9% of the total population.
