6 Days Kunming and Qujing Muslim Tour

Day 1 Arrive in Kunming

Welcome to Kunming! After arriving at the airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and taken to your hotel. Start your journey with a visit to the Nancheng Mosque, where you can learn about the local Muslim community. Afterward, take a stroll through Kunming’s vibrant Flowers and Birds Market, a perfect spot for a little exploration and shopping.

Day 2 Kunming-Jinning-Kunming

Sightseeing and Activities: Mosques in Jinning, Wetland Park

Today, head out to Jinning County to visit some beautiful mosques, a chance to further explore the region’s Muslim culture. On the return trip to Kunming, stop by some peaceful wetland parks along Huanhu Road, perfect for a relaxing walk and a bit of birdwatching.

Day 3 Kunming-Stone Forest-Luliang-Shizong

After breakfast, we’ll drive 86 km to the famous Stone Forest, a truly otherworldly landscape known as the “First Wonder of the World.” Marvel at the stunning stone formations that look like petrified trees. In the afternoon, head to Luliang to visit some local mosques, before continuing to Shizong for the night.

Day 4 Shizong-Luoping

Start your day with a visit to Shizong’s Mushroom Mountain, a unique natural wonder. Then, journey to Luoping, known for its enchanting rape flower fields. A visit to Luositian (Snail Farms), reveals circular fields that resemble a snail’s shell, a perfect spot for photos!

Day 5 Luoping

Set out early in the morning to Jinjiling in time for sunrise photography. Jinjifeng(Golden Rooster Hill), the most famous spot for photographing rapeseed flowers. It offers an excellent and expansive view of the fields and hills. Lingyi Temple, located in the middle of the hill, offers a perfect platform for photographing the fields and sunset. Then transfer to Jiulong Pubu(Nine dragons waterfalls) to photograph the waterfalls. It is regarded as one of China’s biggest and most beautiful waterfalls. Firstly, take a cable car or climb up the hill to the platform overlooking the valley and the waterfalls and photograph the grand vista. Secondly, walk down the hill to the biggest waterfall (56 meters high and 112 meters wide) to photograph it up closely. Take a bamboo tour along the Duoyi River and see the Buyi ethnic village nearby.

Rise early for a sunrise photography session at Jinjiling, one of the best spots for capturing the vast rape flower fields. Then, head to Jiulong Pubu (Nine Dragons Waterfalls), regarded as one of China’s most stunning waterfalls. After admiring the grand vista from a hilltop platform, descend to the base of the largest waterfall for an up-close view. You’ll also have the chance to explore a Buyi ethnic village on a bamboo tour along the Duoyi River.

Day 6 Luoping-Kunming Departure

After breakfast, we’ll make our way back to Kunming airport (a 4-5 hour drive) for your afternoon departure flight.
