Green and Intelligent Construction: During construction, the project actively implemented an innovation-driven development strategy, vigorously promoting technological innovation and green intelligent construction. For the first time, it used cohesion sand gravel (CSG) for a full-section water-passing cofferdam on a major river, which was land-saving, material-saving, and environmentally friendly.

Cableway Design: It invented a new cableway design form of “fixed end + vertical shaft + underground powerhouse + auxiliary hoist”, achieving a significant breakthrough from theory to engineering practice, with safe and reliable operation, significantly reduced construction and operation costs, and providing a new method for concrete placement in large-volume dam construction in narrow valleys.

Fish Pass System: It pioneered a “multi-inlet short fishway + vertical fish lifter” system domestically, effectively solving the fish collection problem caused by the large fluctuation range of the downstream water level and ensuring genetic exchange between upstream and downstream fish populations.

Digital Dam Technology: It established a “Digital Dahuaqiao·Dam Construction Management Information System” to achieve full-process visual intelligent monitoring of dam concrete placement.

Generating Unit Performance: Multiple performance indicators of the generating units are far superior to national standards and are at the advanced level of similar units worldwide.
Environmental Benefits

Since its commissioning, the station has saved 1.302 million tons of standard coal and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 3.078 million tons annually, demonstrating significant environmental benefits and effectively supporting the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
