Baisha Ancient Town Shopping

Baisha Old Town is famous for handcrafts, such as hand-made embroidery, hand made hotpots and other metal work. There is an old commercial street where you can buy some souvenirs of your kind.

1.Hand-made Embroidery

The Baisha Naxi Embroidery Institute is 12 km away from the Lijiang city. There are many local embroiderers and many nice hand-made embroideries there. It is a typical Naxi style courtyard with a very nice surroundings. It is a very beautiful place, you have to go there.

2.Tie-Dyeing Products

The most beautiful scenery in the old town is the tie-dye cloth that being dried everywhere. The unique folk tie-dyeing and the drying methods, when it comes to families, constitute the most unique scenery in the ancient town of Baisha.

3.Tibetan Souvenirs

There's at least one little shop operated by a great Tibetan guy in a cowboy hat. Good place to sit and enjoy tea if pondering a purchase or two. Speaks some English and more Mandarin.
