1.Introduction
Chengjiang City (澄江市), is located in Yuxi, Yunnan Province, China, just north of Fuxian Lake. Lying in the central plateau of Yunnan in the northern subtropical zone with a fairly low latitude, and under the regulating effects of Fuxianhu Lake and Yangzonghai Lake, Chengjiang city enjoys a very mild climate, with spring-like weather all the year round. 3.History
The city was founded in 960 AD, at a time when Yunnan was not yet part of China. Chengjiang was once the core area of Yunnan Province during the Previous Qin Dynasty (period before 221 BC). In the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-24 AD), it became a county of Yizhou Shire. The following dynasties witnessed the continuous separations of the area. It was not until 1997 that Yuxi became a prefecture-level city of the Republic of China.

Chengjiang County is located in central Yunnan, Luozang Mountain crossing Chengjiang from the west to east, forming Chengjiang and Yangzong two dams. Chengjiang is contiguous to Chengong and Jinning in the west.
