In 2014, Jinning District has one sub-district office (Kunyang Subdistrict:昆阳街道), five towns (Jincheng Town:晋城镇, Xinjie Town:新街镇, Erjie Town:二街镇, Shangsuan Town:上蒜镇, Liujie Town:六街镇), two nationality townships (Shuanghe Yi Nationality Township:双河彝族乡), Xiyang Yi Nationality Township:夕阳彝族乡), 129 village committees and 6 residents committees. The government in Kunyang is located in No.365, Zhenghe Road.
‣ Geography
The topography of Jinning area belongs to the Zhongshan zone of shallow cut in the central Yunnan Plateau. The topography is high in the south and low in the north. The elevation of Daliangzi Mountain in the south is 2648 meters, which is the highest point of the whole area, and the Xiaobanhe in the west is 1340 meters above sea level, which is the lowest point of the whole area. Eastern Guanling Mountains of the Heihan Mountain (2494 meters above sea level), Tiger Mountain (2629 meters above sea level) from the south and north vertical span Jinning District, Chengjiang County.
