Malong District Dining
Malong Food is mostly about mushrooms, there're many kinds of mushroom food. In addition, there're many other food that are quite different from the others, such as the Allium chinense(藠头:Pinyin,Jiaotou).
1.Allium chinense(藠头:Pinyin,Jiaotou): It is big and rich with nutritient.Usually it can be cut into pieces and cook with meat, but mostly Malong people prefer to pickled Jiaotou, which is sour.
2. Malong Ganba Mushroom(马龙干巴菌): There're many mushrooms that grow in nature in Yunnan, which is not only beautiful in shape but also rich and valuable in nutrition. People here like pickled beef, while this mushroom has the similiar flavor of beef's smell. People called it Ganba Mushroom eventually.
3. Jizong Mushroom(鸡枞)： This kind of mushroom is very few and hard to obtain, which has not only a good taste, but also beautiful shape. It is famous for it's taste, which is almost the same to chicken meat. It got the name for such a reason.
