1.Ethnic Groups

There're Yi, Bai, Dai, Zhuang, Miao, Hui, Lisu, Lahu, Wa, Naxi, Yao, Zang, Jingpo, Bulang, Buyi, Achang, Hani, Xibo, Pumi, Menggu, Nu, Jnuo, Deang, Shui, Man, Dulong ethnic groups, with a population of 33373 living in Qilin District.

2. Traditional Ethnic Villages

There are 2 traditional ethnic villages, which are Dacun Village of Yuezhou Town in Qilin District, Qujing(曲靖市麒麟区越州镇潦浒社区大村 )and Qingkou Village of Zhujie Subdistrict in Qilin District, Qujing(曲靖市麒麟区珠街街道办事处箐口村 ).

3. Ethnic Culture

Qilin district is a unified multi-ethnic county inhabited mainly by the Han nationality. All the industrious and intelligent ethnic groups have lived together in harmony. 

4. Ethnic Festivals

Festivals are a major feature of ethnic minorities. In Qilin District, every ethnic groups celebrates their own festival, such as the Dance Flower Festival and Torch Festival.
