Shuanglang Town Culture

The main inhabitants of Shuanglang town are Bai, Yi, Lishu, Naxi and Han people. Bai ethnic groups take up the dominant part of the whole population and many of its old buildings follow the Bai-style of “three rooms and one wall screening”. There are 2 traditional ethnic villages: Qingshan Village(青山村), Daoyipang Fishing Village(岛依旁渔村). The Bai people celebrate a myriad of indigenous festivals, and the three most important festivals are the Sanyue Festival, Torch Festival, and Benzhu Festivals.
