Yangbi County is an important part of national scenic area in Dali,and is inhabited by over 7 different ethnic groups including Han, Yi, Hui, Bai, Miao, Lisu and Dai, with the Bai ethnicity being the largest one. There are 2 tranditional ethnic villages. Unique traditional festivals of Bai people attract tourists to visit.
