2. Administrative Division
There are three natural villages in Yuhu village: Yuhu Shang village(玉湖上村), Yuhu Xia village(玉湖下村), Wenhua village(文化村).

It is situated at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mount, about 40 minutes driving from Lijiang Old Town. Yuhu is adjacent to Xinshan Village in the East and South, Wenhai Village in the West, and Yulong Snow Mountain in the North.

Yuhu village belongs to the semi mountainous area with a cold and windy climate. The temperature is lower than the center of the county about 6 ~ 7 ° C. The annual average temperature is 8.90 ℃ and annual rainfall is 935.80 mm.

The best time to visit Yuhu village is from March to June and October to December because of the clear weather and wide view. Summer is rainy season but a good place to avoid summer heat.

6. Things to Do
Yuhu Lake: Yuhu is a lake, 200 meters in length and 40 meters in wide. The lake is waved with water all the year around.
Rock Joseph's Former Residence: the former residence of an American Austrian explorer who spent 27 years in Yuhu Village and made great contribution to the protection of Naxi Culture.
Yuzhuqingtian: a scenic spot centered around Jade Lake. The clear waters are believed to cure eye conditions, rheumatism and many other ailments.

There are three way coming to Yuhu Village from Lijiang: by bus, taxi or cycling.
