How to Get to Jinghong City from Kunming

Being around 550 kilometers from the provincial capital Kunming（昆明）, Jinghong City（景洪市）is known for its beautiful local scenery and marvelous ethnic culture. It is also one of the most famous scenic areas in Yunnan, which can be easily reached by coach and plane.

How to Get to Jinghong City from Kunming

1. By Long-Distance Coach

Everyday, there will be about 20 coaches departing from Kunming South Coach Terminal（昆明南部汽车客运站）, and the schedule is listed as follows:

Please be noted that the coach’s final destination may vary as most towns and cities possess more than one coach stations. However, it is quite easy to get around them by taxis or local buses.

This coach terminal can be reached by taking City Bus No. 103; No. 103 Express; No. 149 Exclusive; No. 154; No. 162; No. 178; No. 179; No. 186; No. 198; No. 255; No. 902; No. C12; No. C13; No. C14; No. C24; No. C4 [Route A]; No. C4[Route B]; No. C5; No. C6[Route A]; No. C6[Route B]; No. C7; No. K15; No. K40; No. Z48; No. Z49(ranges from CNY 1 to CNY 10), and Airport Express 919 D (approximately CNY 13), as well as Metro Line 1(can be transferred to at Dongfeng Square Station). The taxi fare from downtown area is around CNY 70 (according to the Chinese Uber, Didi), and expected time of arrival will be around 50 mins.

2. By Plane

Please be noted, that after you have arrived at the local airport of Jinghong City（景洪市）, you will still need to transfer by local bus or taxi to other parts of the city. However, it is absolutely important for you to reach a deal with the driver or conductor before departure.
