The mosques in the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, where warmly welcome Muslim visitors during their travelling. Muslim guests are advised to refer to this list for any important information they may need while exploring the area.

 

Heluo Mosque in Luxi County, Honghe

Shadian Lianhuatang Mosque（沙甸莲花塘清真寺）

  • Location: Shadian Township, Gejiu City, Yunnan Province
  • The current mosque has a construction area of ​​1,100 square meters and is a Chinese-style antique building.
  • There are 70 households and 305 believers, including 3 scholars, 3 imams, and 40 manlas, all of whom are Hui people. The mosque has a collection of 180 volumes of Arabic classics.

Gejiu White House Mosque（个旧白房子清真寺）

  • Location: Xinshadian Township, Gejiu City, Yunnan Province
  • The White House Mosque was built in 1980. It covers an area of ​​4.5 acres. The main gate of the temple has double eaves and brackets, which is majestic and spectacular; the minaret is in the shape of a minaret and has 3 floors.
  • The prayer hall is an antique building with an area of ​​250 square meters.

Shuiqing Ancient Mosque（建水清真古寺）

  • Location: No. 50, Randengsi Street, Lin’an Town, Jianshui County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque is also known as Randengsi Street Mosque or Mingcheng District Mosque. It was built in 1312-1313.
  • The entire mosque covers an area of ​​2.7 acres and a total construction area of ​​about 1,600 square meters. It is one of the earliest mosques in Yunnan.

Huxi County Mosque（沪西县城清真寺）

  • Address: Huxi County, Yunnan Province
  • This mosque adopts modern multi-story architecture, with pointed arched porches and green dome decorations, which is magnificent.
  • The original design was 5 floors, and 2 floors have been completed and put into use.
  • The first floor is the main hall, Huxi Arabic School, mosque restaurant, etc. The second floor is the dormitory and study room for the imam and the imam. The main hall has a construction area of ​​250 square meters

Huxi Weimin Mosque（沪西为民清真寺）

  • Location: Baishui Township, Huxi County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque is also known as Alucai Mosque. The current mosque was built in 1909 and covers an area of ​​1.2 acres. The prayer hall is in Chinese classical style with a construction area of ​​120 square meters.
  • The total construction area of ​​the mosque is 400 square meters.

Huxi Heluo Mosque（沪西河洛清真寺）

  • Location: Baishui Township, Huxi County, Yunnan Province
  • The Heluo Village Mosque was built in 1984. The main hall is a civil structure with a construction area of ​​240 square meters, and the entire mosque has a construction area of ​​400 square meters.

Huxi Jumo Mosque（沪西巨末清真寺）

  • Address: Baishui Township, Shaxi County, Yunnan Province
  • Juben Mosque was first built in the late Qing Dynasty. In 1982, a new prayer hall was built with a construction area of ​​280 square meters.
  • Subsequently, the Bunker Building, North Lecture Hall and other supporting facilities were built. The total area is 9 acres.

Taoyuan Mosque in Huxi（沪西桃园清真寺）

  • Location: Taoyuan Village, Baishui Township, Huxi County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque covers an area of ​​6 mu. The main hall is a single-eaved hip-and-gable style building with a construction area of ​​180 square meters. An Arabic school is set up in the mosque.

Huxi Dazhiyi Village Mosque（沪西大直邑村清真寺）

  • Location: Baishui Township, Huxi County, Yunnan Province
  • Hui people in Huxi began in the early Ming Dynasty.
  • The total area of ​​the current mosque is 200 square meters, including 80 square meters of the main prayer hall, which is an old-style residential structure.

Huxi Yale Mosque（沪西雅乐清真寺）

  • Location: Wujie Township, Shaxi County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque is a brick and wood structure, with a main hall area of ​​96 square meters and a total area of ​​245 square meters.

Xiaozhai Mosque in Pengpu Town, Mile（弥勒朋普镇小寨清真寺）

  • Locat: Pengpu Township, Mile County, Yunnan Province
  • The old mosque was first built in the early Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in 1887. It was rebuilt again in 1982. The current mosque covers a total area of ​​9 mu, with a building area of ​​560 square meters in the main hall.
  • It is a traditional Chinese style with two building-style wing rooms and a symmetrical and coordinated layout.

Zhuyuan Mosque in Mile County（弥勒县竹园清真寺）

  • Location: Zhuyuan Town, Mile County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque was built in 1890, covering an area of ​​about 2.5 acres, with a total construction area of ​​800 square meters and a main hall area of ​​400 square meters. It is a Chinese palace-style building.

Bajiao Village Mosque, Zhuyuan Town, Mile County （弥勒竹园镇芭蕉村清真寺）

  • Locaiton: Bajiao Village, Zhuyuan Town, Mile County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque was first built in 1940. After the founding of New China, it was renovated three times. It is a Chinese classical building with a civil structure, a large roof, a palace style, carved beams and painted buildings.
  • It has a front hall, a back hall, a room for the imam, a bathing room for men and women, a living room and other building facilities.

Hongshagou Mosque in Zhuyuan Town, Mile（弥勒竹园镇红沙沟清真寺）

  • Location: Zhuyuan Town, Mile County, Yunnan Province
  • The mosque was built in 1985. It covers an area of ​​about 1 mu and a construction area of ​​680 square meters. The main gate is made of terrazzo doorposts and iron door leaves.
  • The door is inscribed with “Hongshagou Mosque”. The main building, the prayer hall, is a brick-wood structure with a hard mountain style, 3 rooms wide and a construction area of ​​75 square meters.
