The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Mountain) is a stunning natural wonder and the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. Stretching 35 kilometers long and 20 kilometers wide, this mountain range is home to 13 peaks, the highest of which, Shanzidou, rises to 5,600 meters. From Lijiang Old Town, just 15 kilometers away, the snow-covered peaks resemble a jade dragon lying in the clouds, which is how the mountain got its name.

In the morning, Our guide will meet you at your hotel, then drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which is 30 kilometers away from Lijiang Old Town. Visit Ganhaizi Meadow, then take the sightseeing bus to visit Baishui River, which is well-known as the Blue Moon Valley from the glacier of the snow mountain.
Take Spruce Meadow Cableway to visit the Spruce Meadow (3200 M). The Spruce Meadow Cableway takes visitors on a scenic cable car ride to the Spruce Meadow area of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, one of the highest and most picturesque parts of the mountain range. At an altitude of 3,220 meters (10,564 feet), Spruce Meadow offers stunning panoramic views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, surrounding alpine forests, and valleys. This area is known for its beautiful spruce trees, which give the meadow its name, and is a must-see for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure enthusiasts visiting Lijiang.
Watch Impression Lijiang Ethnic Show in the outdoors theater in front of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.The Impression Lijiang Ethnic Show is one of the most popular cultural performances in Yunnan Province, set against the stunning backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Directed by renowned filmmaker Zhang Yimou, who also directed the famous Impression Sanjie Liu show in Yangshuo, this outdoor theater performance blends ethnic music, dance, and stunning natural landscapes to tell the story of the diverse cultures and traditions of the Naxi, Yi, Tibetan, and other ethnic groups in the Lijiang region. It’s an immersive and visually spectacular show that offers a unique way to experience the culture and beauty of this region.
In the afternoon, visit Baisha Old Town which is one of the oldest towns in Lijiang City. It got its name “Baisha” meaning “white sand” from the natural white sand in the area. It was the cradle-land of the Tusi Dynasty evolved from the Mu Clan. It was also the earliest settlement of the Naxi people. In ancient times, Baisha was a center of silk embroidery in southwest China and an important place on the Ancient Tea and Horse Road.
Finaly we will visit the Baisha Mural which has a history of about 600 years, it was listed in the World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO 1997. Transfer back to your hotel, service ends.
Located north of Lijiang Ancient Town, Baisha Village is the original settlement of the Naxi people, and the earliest cultural and political center of Lijiang. There, one of the most valuable treasures of Chinese painting – Baisha Murals (also known as Lijiang Murals) is kept and displayed in the old but splendid temples.
