Noon:
Try local dishes in Yuanmou, including roast whole lamb and clay pot chicken.

Afternoon:
At around 13:00, after finishing the Earth Forest tour, drive back to Kunming, which will take about 2.5 hours. You can stop to rest and hydrate along the way.

Evening:
Arrive in Kunming at approximately 16:30 and check into your hotel, ending your day’s drive.

Self-Drive Tips:

  • Route: Depart from Chuxiong, follow S208 Provincial Road and G56 Expressway to Yuanmou County. Yuanmou Earth Forest is easily accessible by car.
  • Parking Info: The Earth Forest has parking available. If it’s full, roadside parking is allowed, but make sure to follow parking regulations. In Kunming, parking is generally sufficient, but crowded tourist spots like Dianchi and Daguan Pavilion may have limited spaces. Consider using large parking lots or reserving a spot in advance.
