Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Tengchong

Morning: Transfer to the hotel in Tengchong.
Afternoon: Visit the National Martyrs Cemetery (国殇墓园) to honor WWII soldiers.
Evening: Explore Tengxuan Cultural Park (腾宣文化园) to learn about local handmade paper.
Overnight: Tengchong


Day 2: Tengchong Volcano & Wetland

Morning: Visit the Tengchong Volcano and Geothermal National Geological Park (腾冲火山地热国家地质公园) – hike to volcanic craters and view columnar jointing (柱状节理).
Afternoon: Enjoy a boat ride through Beihai Wetland (北海湿地) and its floating grasslands.
Evening: Savor local cuisine such as “Da Jiu Jia” (大救驾) fried rice noodles.
Overnight: Tengchong


Day 3: Hot Springs & Heshun Ancient Town

Morning: Relax at the Atami Scenic Area – soak in natural hot springs and see the large cauldron.
Afternoon: Explore Heshun Ancient Town – stroll through cobblestone streets, visit Ai Siqi’s former residence, and the Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum.
Evening: Enjoy the sunset view at Yuanlong Pavilion.
Overnight: Tengchong


Day 4: Tengchong to Ruili

Morning: Drive to Ruili via Nandian Xuanshi Mansion (南甸宣抚司署).
Afternoon: Cross at Jiegaokou (姐告口岸) – walk across the border bridge to Mu Jie in Myanmar (木姐).
Evening: Explore Zhongmian Street (中缅街) for cross-border shopping.
Overnight: Ruili


Day 5: Ruili Cultural & Rainforest

Morning: Visit “One Village, Two Nations” (一寨两国) – explore villages divided by the border.
Afternoon: Hike in Mori Tropical Rainforest (莫里热带雨林) to see Zha Duo Waterfall (扎朵瀑布) and spot local wildlife.

Day 6: Ruili to Mangshi

Morning: Drive to Mangshi and visit Mengbana Xi Zhenqi Garden (勐巴娜西珍奇园) – a botanical garden showcasing diverse wildlife.
Afternoon: Climb Menghuan Dajin Tower (勐焕大金塔) – a golden Buddhist stupa.
