Kunming International Exhibitions are mainly held in Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center and Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center (Guomao Huizhan)
Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the southeastern part of Kunming City, connecting the city center in the north, airport in the south, and railway station in the west. Founded in 1992. It covers an area of 225,000 square meters and has a construction area of 240,000 square meters. With superior location, convenient transportation, the facilities are complete including catering, accommodation, entertainment and other supporting services. It is a well-known exhibition enterprise with rich exhibition experience and “one-stop” high-quality service. It is a window for opening up in Yunnan Province and a leading enterprise in Yunnan’s exhibition industry.
Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Centre
In 2013, the Kunming Dianchi Convention & Exhibition (DCEC) was brought under construction, in the hope of making the city more attractive and shaping its development to be a well-equipped modern urban complex with diversified functions of conversions and exhibitions, tourist services, leisure and entertainment, vacationing, as well as trade and business. The DCEC’s exhibition halls cover a floor area of 528.92 mu (approximately 353,330 square meters), encompassing the three peninsulas of the Dianchi Lake. The center, which neighbors the Dianchi National Tourist Resort, is adjacent to the Wujiatang Wetland Park in the east and it has a panoramic and picturesque view of the whole lake and the West Hills Scenic Area.

China-South Asia Exposition
With the approval of the State Council, the China-South Asia Expo is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, once a year and permanently settled in Kunming. The first China-South Asia Expo was held in Kunming in June 2013. This is another major opportunity for the development of Yunnan and Kunming. It is also a new platform for the opening up of the country to the southwest and strengthening comprehensive exchanges and cooperation with South Asia, Southeast Asia, West Asia and other countries and regions.
China International Travel Mart
China International Travel Mart(CITM) is the largest professional tourism exhibition in Asia at present. With its thoughtful service, it provides unlimited business opportunities for exhibitors. It is held once a year. Since 2001, it has been held alternately in Shanghai and Kunming. Travel agencies, hotels, airlines and tourism-related enterprises from all over the world and China will participate in the China International Travel Mart. Kunming International Flower Expo of China
Kunming International Flower Expo of China (KIFE) was founded in 1999 and has been successfully held for 20 years. Due to the region‘s abundant natural resources and favorable environment, Yunnan is described as the ‘fertile soil’ of China’s floral industry. Yunnan’s yield of fresh-cut flowers has remained China’s top for 25 years in a row, accounting for over 80% of the national market; its major Rose and Boat Orchid pot plant products represent 90% of the domestic market. China Kunming Import & Export Commodities Fair
China Kunming Import & Export Commodities Fair (known as Kunming Fair) is a regional trade fair jointly sponsored by China’s seven local governments, i.e. Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Tibet, Chongqing and Chengdu. It covers import and export, cross-border trade, investment promotion and economic & technology cooperation etc. Kunming Fair has been successfully held annually for 26 consecutive years.
Kunming International Agricultural Expo
The 15th Kunming International Agricultural Expo(hereinafter referred to as the “Agricultural Exposition”) will be held in the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center of Kunming from September 5 to 9, 2019. China Kunming International Agricultural Expo is an important carrier for displaying the characteristic agriculture of Yunnan and Kunming plateau, new agricultural technologies, new products and new achievements at home and abroad. It is also an important platform for agricultural project cooperation, technical exchanges and economic and trade negotiations, acting as an important window for Yunnan agricultural external exchanges. Kunming International Agricultural Expo has successfully held 14 sessions, and gradually developed into a regional international grand event facing the whole country, leading the southwest and radiating surrounding areas.

Exhibition Industry of Kunming
As the main force of Yunnan’s economic development, Kunming is the pioneer of Yunnan’s economic and social development, as well as an important central gathering place of Yunnan’s talent resources and investment environment. Kunming exhibition industry started in the 1990s, is one of the earliest cities in the country to develop exhibition industry. In 1993, after the completion of the first professional exhibition venue Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center, the first China Kunming Import and Export Commodity Fair was successfully held. More than 1500 exhibition booths were arranged, and most of the exhibitors came from large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises and professional import and export companies.
By 1999, the World Horticultural Exposition with the theme of “Man and Nature – Towards the 21st Century” was successfully held in Kunming, which not only accumulated experience for Kunming’s exhibition industry, but also for China’s subsequent comprehensive expositions. Since then, Kunming’s exhibition industry has entered a period of rapid development.
In recent years, Kunming exhibition industry has developed rapidly. As an important window for Yunnan to face South Asia and Southeast Asia, Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center has played a very good role in propaganda, display, communication and exchange. Since its operation in 2015, the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center has undertaken a total of about 1.832 million square meters of various activities, and held 17 exhibitions in 2016.
