Baishuitai Culture

There are Tibetan Buddhism, Naxi Dongba Religion, Islam, and the primitive religion of the Yi people, which constitute multi-ethnic and multi-religious picture, forming a distinctive ethnic culture and religious culture. They are also the birthplace of Naxi Dongba culture. The living hieroglyphs are preserved - Naxi Dongba hieroglyphics, Dongba painting, Dongba dance, Naxi costumes, folk customs, etc. are unique, with high research value and human landscape development value.

1.Ethnic Groups

There are 11 ethnic groups, including Naxi, Han, Hui, Yi, Lisu, and Tibetan, and other ethnic groups, of which, Naxi accounts for 62% of the total population.

2. Ethnic Township

Sanba Naxi Ethnic Township is famous for the three uneven dams of Dongba Village, Baidi Village and Haba Village, Baidi and Haba. It is the only ethnic township in the county that is dominated by the Naxi people.

3. Ethnic Festivals

Festivals are a major feature of ethnic minorities. In Baishuitai, every ethnic group celebrates their own festival, such as the Song Contest Festival in Baishuitai, Sanduo Festival of Naxi Ethnic Minority in Baishuitai, Horse Racing Festival in Baishuitai.
