2. Location
Daju Town, is adjacent to Mingyin town in the east, Dandong town of Lijiang Gucheng district in the southeast, Baisha town in the south, Longpan township in the southwest and Baoshan Township in the north. Geographical coordinates: 100°08'-100°22 ' eastern longitude; 27°10 '- 27°26 'north latitude. The town government is 87 kilometers away from Yulong County, 84 kilometers away from Lijiang city, 5 kilometers away from the famous tiger leaping gorge.
3. Administrative Division
Daju Town has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely Piliang village committee(培良村委), Toutai village committee(头台村委), Baimai village committee(白麦村委) and Jiazi village committee(甲子村委), with 49 Groups of villagers in total. Thereinto, Huiyingpan village(会营盘村) of Peiliang is selected as one of Chinese ethnic characteristic villages.

This area is mainly distributed dry-hot valleys, barrage area, mid-levels land and mountainous area. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is suitable to visit all the year around, while autumn and winter is the best time with heavy snow covered and fabulous glacier. The clear sky and wide vision will feast your eyes. April to June and September to October are the best time for hiking and exploring the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Daju Town is a hot land with a long history and ancient culture. The ancient people left a mysterious cliff painting on a stone wall not far from the Gorge Watching Platform, which is the first spot that has been found of the well-known "Jinsha River Cliff Painting Group".
Daju town is also a famous hometown of Dongba paper. Toutai Village Committee is a wood carving village with a long history.
