5. Features

After finishing the stunning trek of Tiger Leaping Gorge, the alternate route back to Lijiang through the town of Daju is a better way. This road back to Lijiang goes around the east side of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain range. If weather permitted, passengers could have a view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

6. Transportation Concern

• Daju - Lijiang

A daily public buse links Lijiang to Daju (90km), departing at 7:30am or 1:00pm.

• Daju - Tiger Leaping Gorge

There are some small paths to the northern town which are nice hiking lines leading to Tiger Leaping Gorge.

7. Best Time to Visit

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is suitable to visit all the year around, while autumn and winter is the best time with heavy snow covered and fabulous glacier. The clear sky and wide vision will feast your eyes. April to June and September to October are the best time for hiking and exploring the Tiger Leaping Gorge. 

8.What to Pack

• Sunlight is very strong in the whole Yunnan Province, wear sun protection such as hats, sunglasses and sun block, etc. 

• Take the necessary medicine with you.

• Bring plenty of clothes. The temperature difference between day and night is very large.
