Xiaowan Town Transportation
At present, almost every village in Xiaowan Town has access to roads. Although the road condition in some villages is not so good, it is much better than before since Xiaowan Town is a remote town in Yunnan. How to Get to Xiaowan Town
You have two ways to Xiaowan Town, bus and chartered bus. You can also drive there yourself.
1. By Bus
If you plan to go to Xiaowan Town, usually you should go to Fengqing County first mainly taking long-distance bus. There are long-distance buses departing from Kunming, Lincang, Dali, Pu'er and other cities and counties to Fengqing County. And regulars buses are available between Fengqing and Xiaowan Town. It takes about 2 hours from Fengqing Bus terminal to Xiaowan and spends 20 yuan. Of course, you can also go to Nanjian County first, then go to Xiaowan.

Tip: You can get off on the way only if you tell the driver in advance, and the price will be different. You don't have to buy ticket and wait in the bus terminal, you can wait outside and beckon to the driver when seeing the bus, the driver will stop if the vacancy is available. And you should just tell the driver where you want to go and pay money to the driver.
2. By Chartered Bus
No matter which direction you go to fengqing County, there are chartered buses outside the local bus terminal, go and ask the driver for detailed information. As for the price, you can consult with the driver. You can also let the driver take you to Xiaowan Directly, only if you pay more money. Chartered buses are also available outside Fengqing bus terminal, and the price is about 30 yuan from Fengqing to Xiaowan.
3. By Air
Fengqing General Airport is under construction. In the near future, the consume time from Kunming to Xiaowan will be shortened. You can take plane from Kunming to Fengqing, then take bus to Xiaowan.
How to Get Around Xiaowan Town
Main vehicles for people in Xiaowan are regular bus, minibus and motorbike. Xiaowan Town is in the mountainous area, there is no taxi in other places except the county seat of Fengqing.
1. Regular Bus
There are regular buses running on the way between Fengqing and Xiaowan Town every 50 minutes. You can wait by the highway, and beckon when seeing the bus, the driver will stop if there are vacancies. It is convenient for people who live by the highway.
2. Minibus
In every village, some people have their own minibus and make a living by driving, villagers usually know the car owners. So if they want to go the county seat or other places on the way, they can call the driver. Or like regular bus, people can wait by the highway, and beckon when seeing minibuses, if the minibus can carry passenger, the driver will stop. Taking minibus is flexible, but it is easier to get minibus in the morning. Local people usually go to county seat in the morning and get back in the afternoon.
3. Motorbike
In Xiaowan Town, many people prefer to ride motorbike, especially the young and men.
