Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival， also called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan， an upright and honest poet and statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river.
Torch Festival
It is a grandest event of Yi ethnic minority, local Yi people will celebrate it on the 24th day of lunar June in Shilin Country. They gather and collected torch together into an burning tower, then sing and dance around the torch tower.
Huashan Mountain Festival（花山节）
Huashan Festival, as its name implies, is a festival on "Huashan Mountain". The core spirit is national unity and happy gathering. In essence, it is the memory of the martyrs such as Chiyou, nostalgia for the homeland and yearning for a new life.

Mass Cultural and Art Festival Activities
On December 5, the opening ceremony of the second Food and Cow Culture and Tourism Festival in Xundian County and the first ceremony of the Mass Culture and Art Festival were held in the Citizen Leisure Square. Representatives of the masses from five townships and literary and artistic groups performed unique folk songs and dances at the party.
