2.Geographical Location
Yimen county(易门县) is located in the west part of Middle Yunnan province, it borders Anning and Jinning county in the east, Eshan county in the south, Shuangbai county to the west and Lufeng county in the north. The county seat-Longquan town(龙泉镇) is 146km away from Hongta District(红塔区),the station of Yuxi people’s government and 94km away from Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province. Its’ territory stretch 44 km from east to west and 57km from south to north with the total area of 1571 square kilometers. Hilly area occupies 97% of the total area, so, Yimen is a mountainous county.

4.History
Yimen was under the administration of Liangzhou Prefecture in ancient time. During West Han Dynasty (109 BC), Yizhou Prefecture administrated the Shuangbai County, which covered Yimen County. At the time of Qi and Liang in the Southern Dynasty, it belonged to Jinning Prefecture, administrated by Cuanshi actually, who administrated Yunnan for a long time. Till Tang Dynasty, it was a part of Gozhou Prefecture and changed into Tangfeng. Yimen became a part of Kunyang Prefecture in Ming Dynasty, which carried on as before till Qing Dynasty.
