Ethnic fashion week held in Kunming

The 2019 Kunming Folk Fashion Week commenced on June 13 at Park 1903, Kunming, Yunnan province.
As part of the Silk Road Fashion Gala this year, it not merely aims to boost the development of local tourist industry, but also to brand Yunnan as a whole on both national and global stages.
Folk costumes from all 25 ethnic minorities of Yunnan as well as Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam were displayed during the fashion week.
And a series of fashion-related shows, conferences and investment promotion events were held simultaneously.
Attended by a great number of designers and clothing enterprises across China, the fashion week also expects to help promote Yunnan’s ethnic designs and realize the mass production of its folk costumes.
