Railway Stations of China-Laos Railway
The China-Laos Railway, also known as the China-Laos Railway Project or the Kunming-Vientiane High-speed Railway, is a proposed high-speed rail connection between China and Laos. The railway will run from Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province in China, to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos. The project is a part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which aims to promote economic development and connectivity among countries in Asia and beyond.
The proposed railway will have a total length of approximately 500 kilometers and will include the following railway stations:
- Kunming South Railway Station: The starting point of the railway, located in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. It is an important transportation hub in Southwest China and serves as the terminus for several high-speed rail lines, including the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway.
- Yuxi Railway Station: Located in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, China. It is an important city in Yunnan and serves as a stop for several high-speed rail lines.
- Mengzi Railway Station: Located in Mengzi County, Yunnan Province, China. It is a small town in Yunnan and serves as a stop for the proposed high-speed rail line.
- Mohan Railway Station: Located in Mohan County, Yunnan Province, China. It is a small town in Yunnan and serves as a stop for the proposed high-speed rail line.
- Vientiane Railway Station: The terminus of the railway, located in Vientiane, Laos. It is the capital city of Laos and serves as an important transportation hub for the country. The proposed high-speed rail line will connect Vientiane with other major cities in Laos, such as Luang Prabang and Savannakhet.
Please note that the China-Laos Railway project is still in the planning stage, and the exact route and schedule may change from time to time. It is important to check the latest information on the official website or relevant news sources for the most up-to-date information.
