Tengchong Transportation – By Air 

There is only one airport in Tengchong, Tengchong Tuofeng Airport(腾冲驼峰机场). Tourists can get to Tengchong by flights from cities in Yunnan province such as Kunming and Lijiang or other domestic cities like Beijing, Chongqing, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Shanghai, etc.

Tengchong Tuofeng Airport(腾冲驼峰机场)

Tengchong Tuofeng Airport(腾冲驼峰机场) serves Tengchong City, which is located near Tuofeng Village 12 kilometers south of the city. It takes about 15 minutes by car to arrive in central Tengchong City.  It has flights to and fro Kunming, Chongqing, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Changsha, Zhuhai, Xi’an, Chengdu, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Guiyang, etc.

Tengchong Airport Transportation mainly rely on taxi and shuttle bus.

Taxi 

A taxi is the easiest and quickest way to reach the centre of Tengchong. A taxi driver does know all the routes in and around Tengchong and knows the right paths to avoid traffic. Moreover,  taxi is probably the easiest and most convenient way to travel to Tengchong Tuofeng Airport. The cab driver can pick you up from almost any location you want. It prevents you from having to wait long or walk far with your luggage. Airport Shuttle Bus

There is only one shuttle bus line available from the airport to the urban area, Tuofeng Airport-Konggang Hotel(空港大酒店), starts at 8:00 to the time of the last arrival flights, with the ticket fee of 10 yuan per person.
