Day 1: Kunming – Stone Forest – Kunming

Your tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Kunming, and you’ll begin the drive to Stone Forest. The drive will take about 1.5 to 2 hours (approximately 80 kilometers).
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Explore Stone Forest
Upon arrival, you will embark on a guided walking tour of the Stone Forest Scenic Area. Your guide will lead you through the most famous parts of the site, explaining the history and geology of the limestone formations. Take plenty of time to admire the majestic stone peaks and snap photographs of this otherworldly landscape.
You’ll also learn about the Sani people, their folklore, and how the Stone Forest is an integral part of their cultural identity.
