Large Stone Forest in Shilin County, Kunming After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Kunming, your day will commence with a visit to the Crystal Center, where you can admire and perhaps purchase beautiful local gemstones and crystals, a specialty of the region.

Following this, you will embark on a scenic coach journey to Shilin, located approximately 80 kilometers from downtown Kunming. Here, you’ll explore the renowned Stone Forest Scenic Area, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2007. Spanning 400 square kilometers, the Stone Forest is celebrated for its unique Karst formations and is deeply intertwined with the ethnic culture of the Sani people, a branch of the Yi Minority.

After marveling at the natural wonders of the Stone Forest, the afternoon presents an opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation with a foot massage at a Chinese Herbal Medicine Center, where traditional techniques will help you unwind and refresh.

In the afternoon, your journey continues with a visit to Kunming Shuncheng Mosque, a historic landmark built in 1425 and the headquarters of the Islamic Association in Yunnan Province.
