3 Days Kunming Jiaozi Snow Mountain Hiking Tour with Dongchuan Red Land

• Day 1: Kunming-Dongchuan Red Land
• Day 2: Dongchuan-Gongwangshan Moutain-Xueshanxiang

Detailed Itinerary

Pick up from your hotel in Kunming ,drive to Dongchuan Red Land area within about 3.5 hours (180km). After your lunch on the way, when you get to Red Land area, visit Huagou village where many photographers gathered to seize the beauty of the red land, then visit the Ancient Dragon Tree, it is the place for local people to sacrifice. Afterwards, you will pass Luoxiagou Valley and enjoy spectacular views onto the villages and farmlands surrounded by red land. The sunset atmosphere in the evening turns the splendid views to an even more remarkable event, offering almost endless opportunities to photography enthusiasts. Afterwards we enjoy a typical local dinner and stay overnight in Dongchuan.

Day 2 Gongwangshan Moutain-Xueshanxiang Township

Sightseeing and Activities: Jiaozi Snow Mountain Circumambulation Hiking
Accommodation: Xueshanxiang Township
Meals: breakfast, dinner

In the morning, enjoy the sunrise view of Dongchuan Red Land, transfer 1 hour to Tanfangcun Village碳房村 where is the Base Camp of Gongwangshan Mountain (拱王山).

Start your hiking from Gongwangshan Base Camp. On the way, you will pass through places named Yanzidong(燕子洞), Dayaopingzi（大窑子平子), Dahai(大海), Dabaiyan(大白岩), Shengshanmen(圣山门), Shuruxiaohai(书菇小海), then you will reach Xueshanxiang Township（雪山乡）.
Drive to Xueshan Town for overnight in the hotel.

Day 3 Xueshanxiang Town-Tangdian-Kunming

Sightseeing and Activities: the Red Army’s Long Match Memorial Hall
Accommodation: none
Meals: breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, drive back to Kunming.
After Tangdian倘甸, we drive to Kedu Town柯渡.
Get off at Kedu Town. The distance is about 60 km (37 mi) and takes 1.5 hours. Here you are recommended to visit the Red Army’s Long Match Memorial Hall.

Drop you off to your hotel in Kunming upon arrival.
