Haba Village is located at the foot of the west side of Haba Snow Mountain. It is a village dominated by the Naxi people. It closely links the climbers with the Haba Snow Mountain. It is a “Shamuini Town” where hikers gather. Haba Village belongs to Sanba Township, Shangri-La City. Hence, the festivals in Haba Snow Mountain are the festivals of Naxi people.

Activities in Haba Snow Mountain
Climbing Activity
Haba Snow Mountain is 5,396 meters above sea level. It is the only 5,000-meter snow mountain that is allowed to climb in Yunnan Province. It is also the first choice for the entry-level training mountaineering in the mountaineering industry. The Haba Snow Mountain Mountaineering Activity is generally from Haba Village at the foot of Haba Snow Mountain (at the altitude of 2,650 meters) to the summit (at the altitude 5,396 meters), with the best route length and altitude climbing height, it is called “the alchemist stone of the snow mountain climbing.”
Temple Fair for Dragon King
Haba Village has an altitude of 1,550 meters from the riverside village to 3,000 meters of the mountainside. The altitude difference is large, and different crops grow at different altitudes. For the convenience of exchange, they have a market. The stalls will be set up on the main road of the village when the fifth of the lunar month, fifteenth, and twenty-fifth of the lunar month. Most of them are now traded directly in currency, but in the past they used to exchange things. On the eighth day of the second month of the lunar calendar, the village will have a "Temple Fair for Dragon King”. People will come to Dragon King Pavilion to pray for good luck and have a gathering.
