Dulongjiang Culture
Nujiang is located throughout southwest China's Yunnan Province. It’s the only autonomous prefecture of Lishu ethnic minority. In Dulongjiang, Dulong is the dominant ethnic group. Local culture represents the diversity of ethnic culture. In Dulongjiang, sacrificing an ox of Dulong people are the most remarkable. Dulong, the smallest ethnic groups in China. They wear a cape of black and white striped linen. Dulong men like to carry a chopper, cross-bow and quiver with them. Women like to wear big earrings and rattan bracelets. Women used to tattoo their face to protect themselves from the lord in the past. That is why Dulongs are called tatooed-faced tribe in some historical records. Kaquewa Festival is the traditional festival of Dulong people.
