2.Location
Shidian County is located in Baoshan, Yunnan, China. Its seat is the large community Dianyang (甸阳镇). It is between east longitude 98 ° 54 '~ 99 ° 21', north latitude 24 ° 16 '~ 25 ° 00'. East boders on Changning County across the Kuke River, south is next to Lincang city, west is opposite to Longling county across Nujiang River, Longyang district is in the north.

The main means of transportation in Shidian county is the long-distance bus. You can also take the flight to Baoshan or Tengchong and then take the bus to Shidian.
9.History
Shidian County has a long history. About 8000 years ago the “Yao people” thrived in this land and wrote the splendid prehistoric culture. In the Western Han dynasty, Buwei County(不韦县) was set up, mamely today’s Shidian. In Yuan dynasty, the Zhangguansi(长官司) appeared, and in Qianlong 35th year of Qing dynasty, the Shidian Xunzhengting(巡政厅) was set up. In the early repulican period, the Shidian Partition county was named. On December 1, 1962, ShiDian county was set up by the State Council.
