Lushui City Transportation
The transportation center of Lushui county is the Liuku town. Liuku is a famous ancient town in Yunnan province. Liuku Town is situated at Lushui County and it is the first town of Nujiang Grand Canyon in Nujiang Prefecture. Liuku Town is closed to Biluo Snow Mountain in the east, Myanmar in the west, Shangjiang Town and Laowo Town of Lushui County in the south, Daxingdi Town and Luzhang Town in the north. Liuku is the cultural, political and economy center of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture. The lowest elevation in Liuku is 300meters, and the highest 800 meters. The main tool of transferring is bus. Here are some ways to transfer.
How to Get in
- Long-distance bus: travelers can take long-distance bus from Kunming to Liuku.
Kunming Western Passenger Station to Liuku: about 13 hours
Bus will depart at 9, 18 and 19 every day.
2.Plane: no plane or train in Nujiang, travelers can fly to Baoshan or Dali, then change bus to Lushui.
Nujiang Airport is under construction and will be used in October, 2019.
How to Get Around
Buses run between Liuku and Gongshan, Kunming and Xiaguan. Busses also run north to Bingzhongluo, but the road is still a no-through road, so after seeing Bingzhongluo you must back track to Liuku. The bus station is a little out of the centre of town (around 楼10-15 in a taxi), but tickets can be bought prior to departure in a small shop behind the Mingzheng Hotel.
