How to Get to Menglun?
By Air
The nearest airport is Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport located in Jinghong City and tourists can fly to Gasa airport and then transfer to Mengla County. Direct flights to Xishuangbanna from Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin as well as international flights to Bangkok and Chiang Mai of Thailand, Vientiane and Lang Prabang of Laos are available.
There is no direct bus heading to Menglun town from the airport, so you'll need to take the bus or taxi to Jinghong Passenger Station and then continue moving to Menglun town.
By Train
Kunming-Mohan Railway, which will have an intermediate stop in Jinghong, will be completed in 2020. By then, visitors can transfer to Menglun from Jinghong bu bus.
By Bus
Menglun is easy to reach from Jinghong. The town of Menglun is about 80 kilometers east of Jinghong on Highway G213 that leads to Laos. Long-distance buses running from Kunming are also available.
