Shiping County Transportation
Line 323 of national road(Jijie-Shiping Express Highway and under construction of Shiping-Yangwu Express Highway) runs through Shiping County, west to Lincang and Xishuangbanna. Provincial road, Gaohong Highway, south to Honghe County, north to Tonghai County of Yuxi, runs through Shiping County from south to north.
How to Get in Shiping County
You have two ways to get in Shiping County, long-distance bus and train.
1. By Long-distance Bus
There are 13 non-stop buses a day from Kunming South Bus Station to Shiping Bus Terminal. Here below are main bus terminals in Shiping County.

2. By Train
There is no railway station in Shiping County, you can't reach to Shiping County directly by train. If you want to take train, you are suggested to transfer in Jianshui County.
Kunming-Jianshui-Shiping County
You will spend about 2 hours 50 minutes on the train from Kunming to Jianshui, then around 1 hour(about 40 kilometers) driving from Jianshui to Jinping County.
3. By Air
At present, there is no airport in Shiping County, you can't go to Shiping County by plane. Mengzi airport, Mile airport and Yuanyang airport in Hong Prefecture are under plan and construction. Shiping County is close to Wenshan Airport, it takes about 50 minutes from Kunming Airport to Wenshan Airport, then 3 hours and a half from Wenshan to Shiping County.

How to Get Around Shiping County
1. By taxi
Taxi is always the most convenient vehicle to get around a place. Taxis can be found everywhere in Shiping county, for people who want to get to their destination as quickly as possible, taxis are wise choice. Generally, the starting fare is 5 CNY, and 1.4 CNY will be charged for each kilometer.
2. Bus
In the county, buses run on the main street, it will not take you much time on the bus, because the county area is not too big. Otherwise, there are regular buses between some town, townships and some villages in Shiping County, convenient and cheap.
3. Minibus
Minibus is another way for local people to travel a short distance. Passengers may wait for a minibus on the highway or just call the driver. Usually, the minibus will take you anywhere you want to go in a short distance, and the price is cheap.
