Lies on the bank of Yangtze river, Shuifu county(水富县) is rich in natural resources,especially water products. You can find many kinds of local specialties in the local market. Usually, in each town, the markets are opened three days a time, and in the county seat, markets are opened everyday. Broadleaf Holly LeafBroadleaf Holly Leaf(苦丁茶)

Shuifu county is one of the main producing areas of broadleaf holly leaf. The leaf is not only a kind of herbal tea, but also a useful medicinal material. It is named so because of its’ bitter taste and black look. In Shuifu county, farmers plant it for their own drinking, and the surplus is sold in the local market.

Huang Lading FishHuang Lading Fish(黄辣丁)

A kind of small fish which is native-born in Minjiang River(岷江). It is one of the rarest river products in Shuifu county, and its’ price is quite high, however, it deserves it. It is known to the local people as the most delicious water food. Huang Lading fish soup is a famous local dish that you can not miss.

Barley (Hordeum vulgare), a member of the grass family, is a major cereal grain grown in temperate climates globally. It was one of the first cultivated grains, particularly in Eurasia as early as 10,000 years ago. Barley has been used as animal fodder, as a source of fermentable material for beer and certain distilled beverages, and as a component of various health foods. It is used in soups and stews, and in barley bread of various cultures. Barley grains are commonly made into malt in a traditional and ancient method of preparation.
