Ximeng County Transportation

Ximeng Wa(Va) Autonomous County is affiliated to Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. It is located in the southwestern part of Yunnan Province, in the Awa Mountain area in the west of Pu’er City. It spans between 99°18′ and 99°43′ east longitude and 22°25′ to 22°57′ north latitude. It is bordered by Lancang County in the east, northeast and southeast, Menglian County in the south, and the mountains and rivers of the Federal Republic of Burma in the west and northwest.

How to get to Ximeng County

1. By Air

There is an airport in Simao District, namely, Simao Airport. Direct flights to Simao District from Kunming, Beijing, Chongqing, Changsha, Dali, Chengdu, Lincang, Guiyang, etc. are available. Then, visitors can take long-distance buses to Ximeng County.

2. By Train

Pu'er Railway Station is the middle station of the Yumo Railway under construction and an important station for the Laos section of the Trans-Asian Railway. It is expected to be put into use by 2020.

3. By Long-distance Bus

1) Kunming- Ximeng

It is convenient to get to Ximeng County from Kunming. There are many long-distance buses to Ximeng County, which will take 9 hours to get to Ximeng. Vistors can take a long-distance bus from Kunming High Speed South Passenger Transport Center, South Bus Terminal or Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center.

How to Get Around Ximeng County

1. Car Rental

If you want to have more fun on the way, renting a car is highly recommended way. The driver of chartering car can stop for you to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
