LanmanE(老曼峨)Village is a administrative village, subordinate to Mount Brown Township(布朗山乡),Menghai County(勐海县),Yunnan Province(云南省).It situates in northeast Mount Brown and 16 kilometers away from the government of Mount Brown Township, belongs to mountain area. The village covered 68.4 kilometers and altituded 1650 metres, the yearly averange temperature is about 18-21℃,and the rain is plentiful here, suitable for planting rice and tea. The farmer’ s income is mainly from farming and animal husbandtry.

LaomanE(老曼娥) is a Brown nationality village which located deep in the mountains in Menghai County(勐海县),Yunnan Province(云南省),with 1000 years of history, and more than 140 families for all. There are various plant resources here, and the lush primeval forest is very suitable for the growth of tea trees. Browns has the long teamaking history who is one of the earliest tea growing nations in China and make a living by planting and managing tea trees. Most tea trees are over 500 to 1000 years old and many branches up to 10 metres, so that the farms need to pick with bamboo ladders and stakes.

Descendants of BaiPu(百濮)of the Brown nationality,generation live in Mount Brown(布朗山),called Pu people(濮人)in old times. Mount Brown is the only town of Brown nationality in China and one of six ancient tea mountains which is planting、drinking and processing tea earliest. There are 7 village committees and 51 village groups, total population 17843 in the whole township of Mount Brown, among these ,the oldest LaomanE stockade has a history of more than 1400 years with about 140 families (over 600 people). And there are more than 12000 mu of ancient tea plantation distributed in the village groups and 18000 mu on the slope and wild bitter tea and sweet tea. These provide high quality raw material guarantee for the production of high quality Pu’er tea.

Characteristics of LaomanE Plantation Pu’er tea:

Bitter is one of the characteristics of Pu’er tea, strip fat and thick, tight and delicate; the tea water is very bitter and strong flavor, after a long time of brewing, it is more smooth and taste heavier, then a little sweet. The spring tea is very bitter and little astringent to swallow, but it promotes salivation and taste sweet after longtime brewing. The unique taste of tea is long and fresh. In general, it has four characteristics:1、leaf thickness and fat; 2、golden soup; 3、for about 5-7 cups of water, it becomes sweet from bitter; 4、extremely resistant to brew.
