Song Festivals
Singing and dancing is the most common way to celebrate a festival in Yunnan as Yunnan has the largest number of ethnic groups and the groups prefer the collective activities to show their joy, wish and passion during a big event. Antiphonal singing is the prevailing way of communicating and displaying one’s affection to the other one among ethnic groups. The tradition is handed down from generation to generation and some festivals related to singing was formed long time ago. They prevails among the ethnic groups even nowadays.
