Trip to The Alu Cave and Chengzi Ancient Village in Luxi County
Traffic
It takes two hours that we leave from Kunming to Ancient village of Luxi. As for traffic problem, in my opinion, it’s suitable for self driving ,and it’s not too good to go alone. In fact, it’s a remote place that I didn’t see buses passing through.
Entrance ticket
It was said that tickets costs fifty yuan, but there was no ticket fees when we got there.
Accomodation
There was a restaurant that the interior design is very charming in the entrance of the village, and the price of eating can be counted. The boss also offered peach that it’s for free and giutinous rice tea was so good as far as I’m concerned.
We also has found some simple, old and unsophisticated lodge during the tour. It’s a wonderful plan to stay in the village for one or two days. There are mountain and field in the vicinity, you can experience a simple pastoral life and escape the bustle flamboyance of the city life, the mostly, you can integrate into the village and villagers here.
The introduction of the village
The Ancient village of Luxi has existed for thousands of years, it’s not so good and built against the mountain.
The most prominent feature of the house in village is that the roof is flat and build up with soil, people can walk on it. Every household was linked together basically and one layer after layer. The village was not commercialized and still keep the unsophisticated flavor. It’s worth looking at it.
Finally, we check up information about this building, this kind of building was called the Soil Palm Room. It’s the traditional folk house of the Yi people. It has a history of more than 500 years ago. The ancient village part of the village is divided into the third part of the xiaolong tree, middle camp and big camp. The xiaolong tree is the soil palmar house that earliest built. After the increase in population, the village development in turn to the middle camp and small camp. The whole village has retained the soil palmar community intact that it’s cool in summer and warm in winter、unique styling and sturdy that is rare in the world that using suitable terrain on behalf of the ancients, construction of local materials and more advanced technology that having a good drainage system.
Ancient town of Luxi include The site of the toast Mansion, Jiangxi street, Directing department, Shogun, Thirty-six layer labyrinth room and The wall of the sister. Every place all has a story.
I suggest that you go to The ancient village in the fall, because the harvest of wheat corn is better in autumn.

The first day: Kunming to luxi to The ancient village
You can buy a ticket to Luxi in the east Kunming passenger station, it costs about sixty-four yuan(the depature time is rolling start), then after two hours and forty minutes to the new passenger station of Luxi. And you should find hotel after your arrival(I live in a middle of the street of Luxi Luzhou tobacco hotel is good, but the price is higher than the ordinary hotel), because the county town of Luxi is not so big, it has been found. I find a small blue bus to Yongning while I back to the new passenger station of Luxi after a hotel reservation, and the ticket price for one is ten yuan and just go when the bus filled with people. About forty minutes to get passenger station of Yongning. When you arrive there, take a small yellow bus to The ancient village, the ticket price is three yuan for one person, it just as before that you can go when the bus full of people.
A bus that doesn’t go back yongning passenger station after visiting The ancient village, I suggest if the poor in health friend should leaving the driver’s number on the way to destination so that he can come back, but the price of ticket is higher. If you’re physically fit , you can walk about an hour to get to Yongning passenger station and go back to new passenger station of Luxi by the blue small bus.
Then you can eat good chicken feet, spicy bittern egg and baked potato with more than a dozen ingredients by route no.1 bus to parking lot that next to the hotel.
The second day: Aluu Tung to Kunming
Get up early and go out of the hotel to eat rice noodles in the parking lot by taking 1 road bus(Just ask the people next to it, if you want to eat this rice noodle, you’d best to go before noon, it’s possible to close the door when it’s late). The seasoning of rice noodle is sufficient but flavor is simple. Then go to the O Lu Tung after eating by taking the bus across the way(the ticket price is ninty-two yuan for one person), it takes about 2.5 to three hours to visit. After the tour, take the 1road bus and get off at the farmer’s market. You can walk around to buy some vegetables and snacks. You can buy a ticket back to Kunming when you take the 1road bus in the opposite station and go back to the new passenger station.
