Chensheng Tea Factory

Menghai Chen Sheng Tea Co., Ltd.

Menghai Chen Sheng Tea Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 by Mr. Chen Shenghe, a tea expert with nearly 50 years of experience. It is a modern professional enterprise with a complete industrial chain integrating Pu’er tea cultivation, product research and development, production processing, sales, and promotion of tea culture. The company is located in the 8-kilometer industrial zone of Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and occupies an area of over 150 acres.

To ensure the quality of its raw materials, the company has established initial processing bases in various locations such as the Old Banzhang of Banzhang Mountain, Banpo Old Village of Nannuo Mountain, Naka of Mengsong Mountain, and Yiw of the Six Great Tea Mountains since 2008. By adopting a “company + base + farmer” model, it has signed long-term cooperation agreements with tea farmers and controls core resources in key Pu’er tea production areas through cooperation with thousands of acres of ancient tea gardens.

Company Profile

The picturesque scenery, pleasant climate, excellent ecology, unique tea resources, and Menghai’s long-standing and exquisite tea-making techniques provide optimal conditions for the high quality of Chen Sheng Tea products. The company boasts top-notch hardware facilities and covers an area of over 20,000 square meters. It is an eco-friendly and comprehensive enterprise integrating Pu’er tea refining, production, sales, and tea culture and ethnic tourism.

Led by renowned tea masters, the company emphasizes the integration of traditional techniques and modern technology, ensuring the purity of tea raw materials and improving hygiene standards. The company has created brands such as “Chen Sheng Hao,” “Fuyuan Chang Hao,” and “Chen Sheng Boutique,” covering various series of Pu’er tea, both raw and ripe. In December 2011, “Chen Sheng Hao” was recognized as a famous trademark in Yunnan Province.

The company’s simple business philosophy is “To provide good tea that people around the world can afford” and “To create commendable tea for tea lovers.” The company’s goal is to build “Chen Sheng Hao” into the best Pu’er tea brand in China. Chen Sheng Tea is on a path of development from agricultural Pu’er, branded Pu’er, technological Pu’er to cultural Pu’er.

Green Planting in the Factory

To build a green and eco-friendly modern tea enterprise, the company has invested a significant amount of money and manpower in continuous greening and ecological construction of the factory area. From early 2007 to 2010, over 3 million yuan was invested, planting more than 4,000 trees and nearly 10,000 square meters of grass. This has effectively prevented soil erosion caused by large-scale construction. While beautifying the environment, the company has maintained ecological balance in the small environment, establishing the initial scale of an ecological enterprise.

We believe that in a few years, under the concern and guidance of leaders at all levels, the company will develop into a truly eco-friendly modern enterprise that resembles a “park from afar and a garden up close,” becoming a beautiful landscape in the industrial zone.

Promotion of Green and Environmental Protection Concepts

To raise tea farmers’ awareness of environmental protection and hygiene, the company invested over 300,000 yuan in 2007 and 2008 to provide 100,000 woven bags to replace unsanitary fertilizer bags used by tea farmers for picking fresh tea leaves and storing dry tea. Additionally, 5,000 sets of tea-making tools were distributed for free to tea farmers in various villages, benefiting thousands of households.

Chen Sheng Lao Banzhang Base

Lao Banzhang Village, dating back to 1476, has 117 households and is located at an altitude of 1,700 to 1,900 meters. It has 4,700 acres of tea land and an annual production of only 50 tons of raw tea.

In early 2008, to protect, develop, and utilize the rare original ecological Pu’er tea resources of Lao Banzhang Village and pass them down through generations, the company established a professional cooperative organization with the villagers, approved by the county government. To improve transportation for the villagers, the company donated 1 million yuan to build a mountain road connecting Lao Banzhang Village to the outside world. The transportation conditions have fundamentally improved, and the villagers have voluntarily organized to maintain this road.

To promote the Lao Banzhang Pu’er tea brand and enhance its influence in the tea industry and among consumers, the company has invested nearly 10 million yuan in advertising and promotions through various media and tea expos at home and abroad.

The company has invested over 5 million yuan to build an initial and refined processing factory in Lao Banzhang Village, with facilities including a drying field, boiler room, killing green room, pressing room, baking room, packaging room, storage room, exhibition hall, office, and dormitories, greatly improving quality and hygiene standards.

Chen Sheng Yiwus Base

To solidify the product quality of its “Fuyuan Chang Hao” series of Yiwus Pu’er tea, the company established a raw material procurement base in Yiwus. To protect the historical and cultural heritage of the original site of “Fuyuan Chang Hao,” the company invested 3 million yuan to purchase and develop surrounding land, integrating traditional tea culture with modern facilities.

Chen Sheng Banpo Old Village Base

The “First Ancient Tea Village” of Nannuo Mountain, located in the magical and beautiful southern Xishuangbanna at an altitude of 1,300 to 1,800 meters, is known for its rich biodiversity. The village’s excellent ecology and heritage have produced high-quality tea with unique characteristics.

In March 2011, Chen Sheng Tea signed a cooperation contract with Banpo Old Village to build a nearly 5,000-square-meter tea processing plant, ensuring the quality of the Nannuo Mountain series products from the source.
