Dayao Walnut(大姚核桃)

The walnut of Dayao County has a long planting history, and  is characterized by "large in size, thin shell, kernel in white, sweet flavor, high kernel ratio and rich nutrition".

Mouding Fermented Bean Curd(牟定腐乳)

Fermented tofu (also called fermented bean curd, sufu, tofu cheese, soy cheese) is a Chinese condiment. The ingredients typically are soybeans, salt, rice wine and sesame oil or vinegar, and are sold in jars containing blocks 2- to 4-cm square by 1 to 2 cm thick soaked in brine with select flavorings.

Chuxiong Vermicelli(楚雄粉丝)

Chuxiong is abundant in producing vermicelli. Chuxiong Vermicelli has more than one-hundred-year producing history, and has been well known since early years of the foundation of People's Republic of China.

Lufeng Aromatic Vinegar(禄丰香醋)

During the apocalyptic period of the Ming Dynasty, Lufeng was able to produce the vinegar of good quality and easy to carry. It entered the palace court and was listed as a good meal. During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, Lufeng Aromatic Vinegar was listed as a famous and excellent product.

Yongren Truffle(永仁松露)

In the world, there are two main producing areas of truffles, one is in Italy and France of Europe, the other is in the border area of Yunnan and Sichuan in China, which is within 200 kilometers of the center of Yongren County of Chuxiong Prefecture,which is the main producing area of Chinese truffles.

 Yi Ethnic Paper-cuts(彝族剪纸)

The intelligent Yi ethnic ladies also give full play to their inspirations by making a variety of paper-cut artworks mainly used for decorating their costumes, bedrooms, waiting rooms, and most of the time for religious ceremonies. Patterns included are mainly plants, wild lives, and holy things in the Yi ethnic religion.

Tiger-head Shoes of Yi Ethnic People(彝族虎头鞋)

Shoes worn by ethnic minorities differ from those of the Han nationality because of the different cultures--especially religious beliefs. The Yis, who have worshipped tigers since ancient times, present the "Tiger Culture" in many aspects of their life.

The Clothes of Yi People(彝族服饰)

Mainly six types of clothes are scattered in six different regions of Yi ethnic minority. However, women usually wear clothes with beautiful flowers embroidered on them and, long trousers with exquisite lace or skirts with numerous pleats. Men like to wear black narrow sleeved clothes, and loose pants. 

Shuangbai Embroideries(双柏刺绣)

Embroidering is a traditional industry of Shuangbai County, Chuxiong Prefecture. Adept Yi ethnic women in Anlongbao and Damaidi townships usually spend their leisure time embroidering. For years, in order to boost the local economy, the county has set up several embroidery associations to carry forwards the industry and promote relevant products.

Yi Ethnic Lacquer Wares(彝族漆器)

Patterns on lacquer wares include natural patterns, animals, plants, life scenes, production scenes, and cultural images, among which animals are the most dominating-and followed by plants. This can be why the Yi ethnic group underline the animal husbandry in their life, since they had undergone a long nomadic history, settled down and finally survived on farming.

Yi Ethnic Satchels(彝族背包)

The Yi ethnic minority top others in China due to its variety of branches scattering throughout the provinces of Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou. Many Yi ethnic branches are identified according to costumes they wear. The colourful Yi ethnic clothing has been matched by a wide range of satchels that are made mainly from leather (in Northwest Yunnan), flax (in West Yunnan), cotton, and so on.
