Evan Gan-English-speaking Tour Guide in Lijiang

Hi, my fellow tourists and esteemed seniors,

It’s truly a pleasure to have this opportunity to introduce myself and get to know each other better. First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to you all for being here.

My name is Gan Linquan (甘林泉), but you can call me Evan. I am of Tibetan ethnicity and graduated from Yunnan University (云南大学) in 2002. After graduation, I took up a position as an English teacher at a secondary school. However, I soon realized that teaching was not my true passion.

During my time at university, I was introduced to the world of tourism and fell in love with it. I decided to pursue what I truly enjoyed, and becoming an English-speaking tour guide became my lifelong dream. This career choice allows me to interact with people from all over the world, broaden my horizons, learn about Western cultures, and enhance my overall quality of life.

Today, after a decade in the industry, I am proud to say that I have become one of the most accomplished English-speaking guides in Lijiang (丽江). Each day, I am busy leading tour groups from around the globe, and I feel incredibly fulfilled. I believe I am well-suited for this role and take great pride in my work.
