Hong Kong International Tea Fair
The Hong Kong International Tea and Tea Art Exhibition, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is a premier trade platform in Asia for the tea industry. It connects tea businesses from around the world with tea enthusiasts and is a major summer event in Hong Kong’s calendar. This year’s exhibition features several regional pavilions, including those from Sri Lanka, Fujian, Hunan, and the newly introduced Hong Kong and Kowloon Tea Merchants Association Pavilion.
In 2023, black tea was the largest tea export category from Mainland China to Hong Kong, with Fujian Province being the top exporter.
For the 2024 exhibition, the Fujian Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is hosting the “Fujian Tea Maritime Silk Road” event in Hong Kong. This event will feature multiple Fujian tea companies, aiming to leverage Hong Kong’s position as an international financial, trade, and shipping hub to enhance economic and trade cooperation with global buyers and promote Fujian tea culture worldwide.
