Menggu Town is the southern gateway to Qiaojia County. It used to be a famous town for copper culture. It is the first town in the grand canyon of western China, and is also a historic town of great military importance, whose name means a place easier to defend than to attack. It is the starting point of ancient waterway transport of copper, and an important witness of China’s neolithic history and culture.
