The 16th China Yunnan Puer Tea International Expo, including a special promotion event for Puer City and Jingmai Mountain, was held with the presence and speech of Yang Zhongxing, Vice Mayor of Puer City.
Yang Zhongxing highlighted that Jingmai Mountain boasts ancient tea forests spanning thousands of acres and is recognized as the world’s first tea-themed World Cultural Heritage site. Puer tea represents the continuation and condensation of the Tea Horse Road culture and is a vital driving force behind Puer’s green development. Looking ahead, Puer City aims to seize the significant opportunity presented by the successful application of the Jingmai Mountain ancient tea forest cultural landscape for World Heritage status. The city will continue to promote the integration and innovative development of tea, tourism, culture, and health, with the goal of creating a billion-dollar industry. Efforts will focus on expanding tea production, improving tea quality, serving tea enterprises with dedication, innovating tea technology, and strengthening tea brands while promoting tea culture.
During the event, four Jingmai Mountain ambassadors provided detailed introductions to the mountain’s popular attractions, tea dining experiences, songs, and tea spaces from four perspectives: “visual, taste, auditory, and sensory.” Tea enterprises presented their Jingmai Mountain tea series products, and the event also featured traditional performances by the Hani and Dai ethnic groups.
